Gladys S.

Gladys S. is a senior scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, bringing over 10 years of experience in neuroscience research across academia and industry. They completed their Ph.D. in neuroscience at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where their dissertation focused on the effects of chronic stress and trauma on neurometabolic function. Gladys has contributed to over 10 peer-reviewed publications and has received numerous awards and grants for their work. As an advocate in health policy, they serve as vice-chair of the advocacy committee for the National Science Policy Network and co-founded the mental health advocacy subgroup. Additionally, Gladys holds a Master’s degree from George Mason University and a Bachelor's degree from The College of William and Mary.
