Maria Toma has extensive experience in clinical research and quality control, currently serving as the EMEA Clinical Team Manager and Global Clinical Team Manager at PPD since December 2008, after progressing from the role of Clinical Research Associate. Prior to PPD, Maria worked as a Quality Control Specialist at Infomed Fluids Bucharest from July 2006 to July 2008 and as a Biochemist at TODY from July 2002 to July 2004. Maria began a career in research as a Research Biochemist at the Institute of Biochemistry of the Romanian Academy, holding that position from June 2001 to July 2002. Maria holds a Master of Science in Biochimie și biologie moleculară from the University of Bucharest, completed in 2002, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochimie from the same university, obtained in 2001.
