Melanie Callaghan

Melanie Callaghan is a Research Scientist at PPD, where they focus on HPLC-based assay development for biopharmaceutical products. They completed a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where their research examined the bacterial type IV secretion system of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, investigating glycolytic pathways in ethanologenic bacteria and developing science communication content. Additionally, Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
