Michael Smith

Michael Smith is a seasoned communications professional with a robust background in media and public relations. Currently serving as the Communications Manager at PPD since August 2021, Michael oversees the company's organic social media channels and website, collaborates with various departments to develop content strategies, and provides strategic guidance on social media initiatives. Prior to this role, Michael spent a decade with the Carolina Hurricanes, where responsibilities included leading content creation, managing the NHL mobile app, and developing digital strategies across departments. Michael's career began with internships at the Carolina Hurricanes and Winston-Salem Dash, and Michael holds a degree in Public Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
