Nathaniel Blackwell is a Regenerative Medicine Researcher and Tissue Engineer currently pursuing a PhD under Dr. Douglas Brownfield in the Lung Development and Regeneration Laboratory. They have extensive experience in 3D bioprinting, bioactive glass, and tissue vascularization, and have previously worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they focused on developing organoid models for diabetic stem cells. Nathaniel holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Science with a focus on Regenerative Sciences from Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Their current role is as a Scientist II at PPD, where they continue to advance their research in regenerative medicine.
