Johnathan Roppo

Johnathan Roppo is an experienced chemist with a focus on product development in the automotive sector. Prior to their role as a Senior Product Development Chemist at PPG from December 2017 to March 2022, where responsibilities included leading projects with significant revenue potential and formulating innovative products, Johnathan was a Product Development Chemist within the Auto Parts & Industrial Coatings business units. Academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where projects involved designing a pH-detecting polymeric coating for dental devices and utilizing process simulation tools in chemical process design. Additionally, experiences as a team leader in the Chem-E-Car project and as a lab assistant demonstrate strong collaboration and teaching skills. Early interests in music included co-founding a band, managing performances, and teaching drum rhythms to youth at the Sewickley Valley YMCA.
