Chief Information Officer at PPL

Mark joined PPL in May 2011 as Chief Technology Officer. At the start of 2020, Mark was appointed to the role of Chief Information Officer.

In his current role, Mark is responsible for all of the technology systems and data that underpin PPL’s operations. To achieve this, Mark leads both our Information Technology, and our Data & Insight functions. Drawing on PPL’s leadership position in technology and data management, Mark represents PPL on a range of international technology initiatives.

Mark draws on 20 years’ experience as a technology consultant, having previously held positions initially at Arthur Andersen and latterly at Deloitte, where he was a Partner in their technology consulting practice. Mark also had a period in industry when he led the software development function at Sky TV. This was at the time of the launch of pay-per-view TV and digital TV.

Mark is a keen road cyclist, regularly clocking up 6,000+ miles per year, and frequently undertakes cycling challenges to raise money for PPL’s charity partners.
