Matthew Nichols has a diverse work experience in various roles related to security, compliance, intelligence, and information management. Matthew began their career as a CI/HU Specialist at II MEF in 1995. Matthew then served as a Senior Instructor for the United States Marine Corps and later worked as an NCIS Special Agent, Liaison to the Diplomatic Security Service Office of CI Program. Matthew joined Naval Criminal Investigative Service in 2000 and led espionage and CI investigations involving Department of the Navy Personnel assigned to US Embassies and Consulates. Matthew then served in roles such as Commander of a HUMINT Exploitation Team and Operations Officer at II MEF. Matthew also worked as an Assistant Director at CENTCOM, where they provided oversight and coordination for CI/HUMINT support. Matthew later served as a Program Manager for USMC Counterintelligence and as Chief Knowledge and Information Management Officer at US Marine Corps Central Command. In their most recent role, they served as Vice President of Enterprise Operations at PPOk. Throughout their career, Matthew has developed expertise in security and compliance, information management, risk management, and policy development.

Matthew Nichols earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from American Military University in 2011. Matthew then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Ancient and Classical History from the same university, which they completed in 2013.
