Neil Smyth

Neil Smyth is a highly experienced software engineer and entrepreneur with a strong focus on cryptography and security technologies. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at PQShield since January 2024, Neil previously held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Allegro DVT and Calnex Solutions Belfast. As the Founder of Wraithium since May 2016, Neil has developed expertise in network monitoring and surveillance. Neil's background includes significant roles in security engineering, such as at Allstate Northern Ireland, where development of a C++ big data platform for data anonymization was a key responsibility. With academic credentials including a PhD in Hardware Cryptography and an MEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen's University Belfast, Neil Smyth brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of software engineering and cybersecurity.
