Alex Bush is an experienced international operations leader with a strong background in program management and evaluation. Currently serving as Head of International Operations and Project and Award Management Lead at Practical Action since March 2019, Alex has previously held significant roles at HelpAge International from 1998 to 2017, including Head of Operations and Assistant Director of Programmes, providing operational support across more than 20 countries. Alex began a career at Practical Action in 1986, taking on various roles, culminating in leadership positions involving project management, policy, and monitoring in Kenya. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Technology and International Development from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey.
