Jake Block

Jake Block is currently a Senior Advisor at Practical Venture Capital, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to that, they were an Entrepreneur In Residence at Plug and Play Tech Center from January 2020 to December 2020. From January 2016 to December 2019, Block worked as a Director at Deutsche Bank. In this role, they were responsible for underwriting multiple lending facilities across various loan books and developing and implementing sales plans and marketing campaigns focused on ultra-high net worth investors, family offices, multi-family offices, endowments, pensions, distribution channels and international growth. From January 2015 to December 2016, Block worked as a Senior Wealth Director at BNY Mellon Wealth Management where they developed and maintained client relationships. Prior to that, Block was an Executive Director of European Institutional Equity Sales at Nomura from January 2009 to December 2015. Before that, they worked as an Assistant Vice President of Acquisitions at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation from January 2006 to December 2008.

Jake Block has a degree in economics from Vassar College and an MBA from London Business School. Jake also has certification from FINRA in Series 7 & 63.
