Graeme Downes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Graeme co-founded Practice Better in 2014 and held a role as a Co-Founder. In the same year, they joined Tangerine as a Technical Development Lead, where they contributed to various initiatives including Voice Banking, biometric authentication, and wearable technologies. In 2018, they left Tangerine after serving as a Technical Development Lead for four years. Prior to Tangerine, Graeme worked at Bluerush as a Software Developer from 2011 to 2014. Before that, they were the Director of Interactive Media at SIDEARM Sports from 2009 to 2011. In this role, they managed interactive media offerings for over 400 clients, led the design and development of Flash/Flex/AIR-based applications, and maintained client relationships.

Graeme Downes has a diverse educational background. In 2003, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft. From 2003 to 2007, they attended York University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Computer Science and Economics. In 2007, they continued their education at Syracuse University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management. Most recently, in 2018, Graeme participated in a Startup Accelerator program, specifically the DMZ @ Ryerson, at Ryerson University.
