Sami Sadaka

Software Architect at Practice Better

Sami Sadaka's work experience begins in 2007 with a role as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Toronto Aerospace Department, where they focused on driver board design and PCB layout. In 2008, they worked as an FPGA Design Engineer at Aastra. From 2010 to 2011, Sami served as a SCADA network specialist at conxcom, where they designed wireless SCADA networks and prepared Path Link Studies for various clients.

In 2011, Sami co-founded Wackywave Labs, a development firm that specializes in creating user-friendly websites, mobile applications, and custom corporate software. In this role, they oversaw the development and implementation of numerous interactive marketing and information management solutions for clients.

From 2013 to 2015, Sami worked as a Software Consultant at team2.to, a technology consulting firm focused on assisting startups in building innovative products. Sami played a key role in preparing technical portions of proposals and facilitating business development.

Sami then joined Massively.ai in 2014 as the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. Sami oversaw the development of a highly scalable chat-bot platform and provided leadership in applying cutting-edge technology for large clients.

In 2017, Sami began working at Tangerine, where they served as an Engineering/Product Leader until 2022.

Currently, Sami holds the position of Software Architect at Practice Better, starting in 2023.

Sami Sadaka completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Toronto. Sami pursued this degree from 2005 to 2010.
