Michael McGonnell is currently the Regional Director (North) at Practice Plus Group, overseeing operational delivery of prison healthcare across nearly 30 sites in the North. With over 20 years of experience in the NHS and private healthcare sectors, Michael has previously worked as Deputy Head of Commissioning at NHS England and held roles at organizations including Spectrum Community Health CIC and Care UK. Michael has been instrumental in implementing telemedicine across the North East Prison estate and is also one of the creative minds behind the "Hope in Hell" podcast, initially sponsored by Practice Plus Group. They earned a Diploma in Health Information Management from the University of Sunderland in 2016.
