David Thompson

David Thompson is a Partner at Practus LLP since November 2024, specializing in SaaS, complex commercial agreements, technology transactions, privacy, venture capital, and channel strategy for technology companies. Prior to this role, David co-founded the Commercial Group at Presidio Legal, P.C., serving early-stage companies from March 2022 to October 2024. David has held significant legal positions, including Associate General Counsel at SentinelOne where involvement in the largest cyber-IPO in history was noteworthy, and General Counsel at Kespry, providing legal advice for a geospatial intelligence platform. Earlier in the career, David was a Director of Legal at Forescout Technologies Inc., contributing to the founding of the Commercial Contracts Group, and served as Senior Commercial Counsel negotiating agreements with Fortune 500 companies. David holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis - School of Law.
