Iain Docherty

Iain Docherty has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Iain is currently serving as the Director of Operations at PragmatIC, a world leader in ultra-low-cost flexible electronics. In this role, they oversee the production and distribution of flexible integrated circuits.

Prior to their current position, Iain worked as a Project Manager at The MAX Group - MAX I.E.G. LLC, where they specialized in operational improvements in the semiconductor industry. Iain provided services such as manufacturing productivity improvements, new facility design, and management consulting.

Before that, Iain was the owner of BIS Consultants Ltd, where they worked with a large multinational oil and gas company, providing business intelligence consultancy. Iain focused on increasing workforce productivity, reducing waste, and implementing lean 6 sigma projects.

Iain also has experience working at companies such as Rio Tinto Alcan, Atmel Corporation, Onstream bv, Siemens AG, National Semiconductor, Smith & McLaurin, and Cochrane & Johnson. Their roles in these companies varied from business improvement lean six sigma black belt to process engineer and analytical chemist.

Throughout their career, Iain has gained extensive expertise in areas such as process improvement, project management, and operational excellence.

Iain Docherty holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of the West of Scotland.
