John Biggs

John Biggs is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Distinguished Fellow at PragmatIC since October 2022, John previously held the role of Distinguished Engineer at ARM from November 1990 to September 2023. As a volunteer, John contributed as Chair and Vice Chair for the IEEE1801 (UPF) Work Group within the IEEE Standards Association from August 2009 to September 2023. Earlier career roles include Design Engineer at Acorn Computers and Systems Analyst at Cray Research. John began a career in engineering as a Student Engineer at Acorn Computers while completing a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at The University of Manchester from 1982 to 1985, following education at Kimbolton School from 1972 to 1982.
