Jim Roach

Jim Roach is the Composite Structures and Methods Disciplines Associate Director at Pratt & Whitney, where they have advanced the state of the art in composite material design and analysis for various jet engine components. Their extensive experience includes roles as a Designer and Structural Analyst, along with leadership positions in engineering and project management. Jim began their career as an instructor at the University of Colorado and has worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory analyzing advanced composite wind turbine blades. Currently, Jim is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Connecticut while also serving as the Technical Content Owner and Instructor for several engineering courses on composite design.
