Michael Weston

Software Engineer at Praxis Engineering

Michael Weston has extensive work experience as a software engineer. Michael currently works at Praxis Engineering, where they have been a software engineer since June 2014. Their role involves designing and building prototype front-end web interfaces and analytics using JavaScript and HTML5/CSS3. Prior to that, from October 2012 to May 2014, they were part of an effort to convert from Waterfall to agile methodology at the same company.

Before joining Praxis Engineering, Michael worked at Sparta Consulting Inc from March 2009 to September 2010. During their time there, they acted in a supporting role for a high-speed protocol processing engine.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as an intern at Parature from March 2008 to March 2009. There, they developed load and performance testing frameworks and web-based user interface components using Java, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and JSON. Michael also created a REST API for other applications via AJAX.

Prior to their role at Parature, Michael interned at PROTEUS Technologies from November 2005 to July 2007. During that time, they worked on developing and testing components for web content management systems and applications. Michael also wrote jRuby scripts to test and demonstrate socket communication with the Oracle WebLogic server.

Michael Weston holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In addition, Michael has obtained several certifications, including a Scrum Master certification in November 2012 and a Security+ certification from UKI in July 2011. Michael also has a CUDA certification, although the details regarding the institution and date obtained are not provided.
