Steve Burrows

Steve Burrows has a diverse work experience as a software engineer. Steve began their career at Raytheon in 1995 and worked there as a Software Engineer until 1999. Steve then joined Network Solutions and held multiple roles including Software Engineer and later, Sr. Software Engineer. At Network Solutions, they were responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's main corporate website and creating a framework based on JBoss Drools for rule-driven advertisements.

In 2009, Steve joined Near Infinity Corporation where they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer for 4 years. During their time at Near Infinity, they developed web applications in Java for ARIN and also worked on internal web applications using Ruby on Rails and ExtJS. Steve was then contracted to work at ARIN, where they played a vital role in rewriting their main customer and internal management websites.

Steve's next position was at Altamira Technologies Corporation, where they held the role of Sr. Software Engineer. Steve'sresponsibilities included designing, developing, and supporting web applications written in Ruby on Rails, aimed at streamlining a large customer's internal processes. Steve also worked with various versions of Ruby on Rails, including 3.1 and 3.2.

In 2017, Steve joined Praxis Engineering as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they currently hold a position. No specific start or end dates are provided for this role.

Steve Burrows completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from George Mason University between 2009 and 2013.
