David Zima has held a variety of positions in the technology sector since 2010. David began their career as a Teacher's Assistant and Research Assistant at Pepperdine University in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Sales/Marketing Intern at American Language Services, Inc.. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Web and Mobile Application Developer and Quality Assurance Analyst at Marland MicroSolutions, Inc.. During this time, they developed three Android apps with features like photo sharing and geotagging on versions as old as Android 2.3, optimized memory allocation using Eclipse Memory Analyzer (MAT) for an image-heavy Android app, and developed multiple new versions of back end API in PHP to a MySQL database with thousands of users. David also developed responsive websites both from scratch and existing static sites using HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and Backbone.js. From 2014 to 2019, they held the position of Senior Android Engineer at PayForward. David currently holds the same position at pray.com.
David Zima attended Pepperdine University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with a Minor in Applied Mathematics. David then attended College of the Canyons from 2013 to 2014, studying Computer Science.
