Derek A.

Derek A. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Derek began their career at Deloitte in 2007, where they served as the Deloitte.com Development Lead and Java COE Lead until 2011. Derek then moved on to Sapient, where they worked as a Distributed Computing Specialist, designing and developing components for a highly concurrent capital markets computation/pivoting engine. In 2012, Derek joined Architech as a Technical Lead and stayed until 2016. Currently, they are working at Precima, a NielsenIQ Company. Derek has held various roles at Precima including Associate Director of Solution Architecture, Principal Solution Architect, and most recently, Director of Technology. In their role as Associate Director, they were responsible for the software architecture of Precima's next generation platform, Precima Suite, which included a Big Data solution, analytics platform, BI tools, and a micro-services layer.

Derek A. completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina in 2002, after attending the university from 1997 to 2002.
