Daniel Lau has had a varied and successful career in the tech industry. In 2008, they began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Intuit. In 2009, they were an Associate Product Manager Intern at Google. In 2010, they joined PowerReviews as a Software Engineer, developing software for their SaaS review platform and Buzzillions review site. Daniel also launched Buzzillions Mobile in 3 months as a single developer. In 2012, Daniel joined Bazaarvoice as a Senior Software Engineer, where they wrote various mobile SDKs, re-architected SaaS Loyalty platform for scale, and launched a crowd-sourced Q&A system. In 2013, they co-founded Curious Kiwi Co. and was the CTO, where they created UpWord Notes, an app that was awarded "Best New App Overall" and "Best New Productivity App" by Apple. In 2016, they co-founded Precious (fka Baby Art) and was the CTO, an iPhone app that uses artificial intelligence to scan for best baby pics and create photo stories.
Daniel Lau attended Stanford University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a B.S. in Computer Science. Daniel then returned to Stanford University from 2009 to 2010 to obtain an M.S. in Computer Science.
