John Mikesell has extensive work experience in technical writing and information development. John currently holds the position of Principal Information Developer at Precisely since May 2020. Before that, they worked as a Senior Technical Writer at Pitney Bowes from April 2019 to May 2020. Prior to that, they served as an Imaging Principal Writer at Nuance Communications from October 2014 to May 2018. John also worked as a Lead Technical Writer at Notable Solutions from May 2012 to October 2014 and as an Information Architect - Lead Writer at Thomson Reuters from October 2011 to May 2012. John's earlier experiences include working as a Writer at Integreon from May 2009 to July 2011, as an SDK Writer at Linda Werner & Associates from February 2008 to January 2009, and as a Technical Writer (Contractor) at Texas Instruments from May 2008 to November 2008. John also served as a Senior Technical Writer at Optinuity, Inc. from February 2005 to September 2008, where they were responsible for creating comprehensive documentation for process automation software. In addition, they worked as a Senior Technical Writer on contract with S&T Onsite, where they wrote setup and SDK documentation for new .NET developer technologies in Microsoft Office from March 2004 to October 2004.

John Mikesell obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Sciences from The Evergreen State College, where they studied from 1972 to 1976. John then pursued a Master of Science degree in Genetics at the University of California, Davis from 1977 to 1981.
