Ulf Viney

Ulf Viney has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Ulf most recently worked as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Precisely | Trust in Data in 2021. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, they held the role of VP Cloud Services at Qlik, where they led the engineering and operational efforts for their SaaS product, Qlik Cloud Services.

From 2016 to 2020, Ulf Viney served as the SVP of Platform Development at RMS. In this role, they led the platform engineering teams and oversaw the delivery of RMS's on-premise products while also spearheading the architecture and implementation of the RMS(one) platform, a SaaS and Big Data Analytics platform designed for handling catastrophe models.

Before joining RMS, Ulf Viney held the position of VP R&D - Security, Quality, and Performance - Office of the CTO at BMC Software from 2013 to 2016. In this role, they led a cross-functional team to establish best practices for quality across all product lines and served on the company's Patent Council.

Ulf Viney's work experience also includes roles at IBM and its subsidiary Cognos. At IBM, they served as an STSM Product Lead for Cognos BI, STSM Quality, Security, and Performance Lead for Cognos BI, and Senior Manager of Product Engineering from 2008 to 2013. Prior to their time at IBM, Ulf Viney worked at Cognos as a Development and Quality Lead from 2002 to 2008.

Ulf Viney began their career in 2000, working as a Network Architect at Blueair Networks and later as a Support Analyst at Rebel.com.

Ulf Viney received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Carleton University between 1994 and 1998. From 1999 to 2001, they attended Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology for Computer Science. Prior to that, between 1992 and 1993, Ulf Viney studied Business Administration and Management, General at Seneca Polytechnic.
