Amadeo Pesce

Laboratory Director at Precision Diagnostics

Dr. Pesce has been honored with the Irving Sunshine Award in Clinical Toxicology by the International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology, making him a true leader in the field.

Dr. Pesce obtained his Ph.D. in biochemistry at Brandeis University and was a postdoctoral fellow in physical biochemistry at the University of Illinois (Urbana). He collaborated with the noted Nephrologist Dr. Victor E. Pollak and was trained in Clinical Chemistry by Dr. Samuel Natelson at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He was appointed to the faculty at the University of Cincinnati and rose to the rank of Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Pesce has since retired from the University of Cincinnati with the honor of Professor Emeritus and taken on the rewarding position as the Laboratory Director for Precision Diagnostics. He is an integral part of Precision’s success and serves as a mentor to many Precision employees.

As part of his commitment to ongoing research and publication, Dr. Pesce has 267 peer-reviewed articles and has written and edited 20 books. He currently writes about the interpretation of the lab results and is motivated by Precision’s positive impact and contributions to healthcare.
