Laura Vanderzyden

Laura Vanderzyden has a solid work experience in the field of accounting and office administration. Laura is currently working as a Senior Accountant at Precision Task Group, Inc. (PTG) since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Mangini Lakhia Pathology Laboratory from May 2010 to July 2022 as a Staff Accounting/ HR Specialist, where they were responsible for various accounting tasks such as cash receipts tracking, payroll journal entries, monthly close, and financial reporting. Laura also assisted in the conversion of payroll and HR support systems. Before that, they worked at Nevis Energy Services as an Office Administrator/ Payroll Specialist from August 2007 to April 2009, where they acted as a liaison between the company and the payroll company, managed OSHA records, and assisted in month-end activities related to fixed assets. Laura's earliest work experience was at Way Companies, where they served as an Accounting Specialist from January 2005 to August 2007. In this role, they handled journal entries, maintained inventory records, conducted bank and account reconciliations, and contributed to month-end and project closing activities.

Laura Vanderzyden has a diverse education history. Laura obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Science from Blinn College from 1998 to 2001. Laura then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering Technology from the University of Houston between 2001 and 2004. Continuing their education, Vanderzyden attended Houston Christian University and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from 2009 to 2012. Laura subsequently enrolled in Lone Star College in 2013, earning a Certificate of Advance Accounting-CPA Exam by 2015. Vanderzyden's latest educational accomplishment is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Analytics, which they obtained from Texas Woman's University between 2019 and 2022.
