David Vaughn

David Vaughn has a strong background in data science and machine learning. David currently works as a Senior Data Scientist at PrecisionHawk, where they provide deep learning solutions for drone imagery tasks and manages cloud-based model training pipelines. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Revibe Technologies. David has also gained extensive experience as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Measurement Incorporated, where they were responsible for developing automated text scoring products and converting them to deep learning systems. David has received honors and awards for their work in creating automated scoring systems and developing a real-time spell correction system. David has also published a paper on a new optimization algorithm for automated test scoring.

David Vaughn obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Harvard University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. David pursued further studies and enrolled in Duke University from 2003 to 2009, completing coursework for a PhD (ABD) in Computer Science. Finally, from 2010 to 2015, they attended North Carolina State University and earned a Master's degree in Computer Science.
