Mike Ortega

Mike Ortega has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Mike most recently served as a Project Manager in the Program Management Office at Predicate Logic, Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Manager at Descartes Labs from 2022 to 2023. Before that, they were a DoD Information Systems SME at CommIT Enterprises, Inc. from 2021 to 2022, where they developed business and operational strategies and provided program management support for defense contracting. In 2021, they briefly worked as an Information Technology Manager at "#Open to work" and as an SLA Manager at NCI Information Systems, Inc. From 2017 to 2021, they held multiple roles at GRSi, including MCISRE SME, Systems Engineer, and TEG Team Lead. Mike also served as a Project Officer at Marine Corps Systems Command from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they held roles such as Imagery Intelligence Chief at 2d Intelligence Battalion from 2013 to 2015, Imagery Intelligence Chief/Full Motion Video Analyst at Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron-2 from 2010 to 2013, and Imagery Intelligence Chief at 3d Intelligence Battalion from 2007 to 2010.

Mike Ortega obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology Management from the American Public University System, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed the Imagery Analyst Journeyman's Course at the Community College of the Air Force from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, Mike attended the USMC Personnel Administration School from 1997 to 2000.

Mike also holds several certifications, including Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from the Six Sigma Global Institute, obtained in July 2022. In May 2021, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Level certification from PeopleCert. In September 2017, Mike obtained the Fundamentals of Systems Engineering (ENG 101) certification from the Defense Acquisition University, followed by the Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (ACQ 101) certification in September 2016, also from the Defense Acquisition University.

Furthermore, Mike holds the Targeting PSS-SOF certification from USCENTCOM, although the specific month of obtaining this certification is unavailable.
