Pedro Gambus has a diverse work experience spanning various fields and roles. Pedro is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Predictheon, a company they started in November 2019. Prior to this, Pedro worked as a Medico especialista en Anestesiologia (Consultor) at Hospital CLINIC de Barcelona starting in 2000. In 2015, they became the Principal Investigator of the PREDICTHEON Project, focusing on scientific research. Pedro also participated in the Richi Entrepreneurs Program under the RICHI Foundation in 2017. Pedro has held teaching positions as a Professor Asociado at Universitat de Barcelona since 2014 and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco from 2013 to 2019. Pedro was also an Associate Professor (Visiting) at the University of California, San Francisco in 2012. Pedro has been involved in various programs and initiatives, including the CaixaImpulse Program, which aimed to accelerate the transfer of scientific knowledge to products and start-up companies. Pedro was also a member of the European Society of Anaesthesia (ESA) from 2009 to 2012. Pedro started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1996.
Pedro Gambus completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anestesiologia-Farmacologia Clinica from Universidad de Barcelona, which they pursued from 1993 to 2002. In addition, they also attended Stanford University School of Medicine as an Anesthesiology Postdoctoral Fellow from 1993 to 1996.
