Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a background in developing collaborative solutions and hardware for interactive educational devices. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has advanced from a firmware engineer to an electrical engineer, focusing on the design and development of DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and accessories. Prior experience includes serving as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, as well as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, aiding in student labs and assessments. Earlier career work involved circuit design and control systems development for the forestry industry while at Grindcom. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
