Tom Jorde

Mr. Jorde is Professor of Law (Emeritus) at UC Berkeley. He is a founder, key benefactor and member of the board of directors of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU. The Brennan Center Jorde Symposium, an annual event created to recognize top scholarly discourse and writing from a variety of perspectives, was named for him. Jorde clerked for Justice William J. Brennan Jr. of the U.S. Supreme Court before joining the Boalt Hall faculty. Jorde’s writings cover the fields of intellectual property, competition policy, and civil procedure. He is the coauthor of Antitrust, Innovation, and Competitiveness (1991) and Intellectual Property in the New Technological Age (1997).
