Michael Adkins

Michael Adkins is a Senior Software Engineer at Prefect, a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Diversigen from May 2019 to October 2020, where they lead the development of the analysis pipeline. Michael has also done research with the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, from September 2017 to May 2019, where they focused on developing computational analysis techniques to decode behavioral signals from neural recordings. Some of their notable achievements include developing a novel machine learning framework for neural data and transitioning the lab to use Github as a central code repository with version control.

Michael Adkins has a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. Michael is certified in Wilderness First Responder from Wilderness Medical Associates International.
