Thomas Egbert

Thomas Egbert is the current head of finance at Prefect. Prior to joining Prefect, they served as the vice president of strategy at OnCorps from November 2020 to October 2021. OnCorps provides AI-powered solutions to some of the world's leading financial institutions.

From October 2019 to November 2020, Egbert served as the senior director of finance and strategy at 2020 On-site. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the financial planning and strategy for the company.

Prior to 2020 On-site, Egbert worked as an MBA summer associate at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria from May 2018 to September 2018. Thomas also worked as an MBA associate at Periscope Equity LLC from February 2018 to May 2018, where they supported investments in lower-middle market tech-enabled business services.

From September 2017 to January 2018, Egbert interned at NextGen Growth Partners as a private equity associate intern. In this role, they supported fund principals and EIRs seeking buyouts of owner-operated businesses (EBITDA $1-5M).

Egbert began their career as an analyst at FRONTAURA CAPITAL LLC in August 2010, where they worked until August 2017. Thomas also interned at PowerShares by Invesco in the research and PM group from May 2007 to May 2008.

Thomas Egbert's educational career includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BA in Economics from Wheaton College, and a General Course in Economics, Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Thomas is also certified from the CFA Institute in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
