Michael Barclay

Michael Barclay is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and adversary detection. Currently serving as Principal Security Researcher at Prelude since February 2024, Michael previously held key roles at SpecterOps, where contributions included Service Architect and Senior Consultant in Adversary Detection. Earlier experience at Expel as Senior Detection & Response Engineer and at Symantec as Senior Security Analyst within the Global Threat Response Team involved building detection mechanisms and conducting threat briefings for managed security services. Michael has a strong background in incident response, having participated in various engagements while acting as a liaison on Project SWARM and supporting diverse industries, including healthcare and manufacturing. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy from Pitzer College, earned in 2016.
