Alejandro Mesa has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Alejandro started their career at ADIQUIM S.A. in 1997 as the General Manager, where they stayed until 2000. Alejandro then joined Merck in 2001 and served as a Management Associate and later as a Marketing Planning Manager until 2002. From 2002 to 2006, Alejandro worked as a Business Development Manager at PREMEX, INC. Following this, they joined Premex in 2009 and held roles including Executive Vice President from 2009 to 2011 and President from 2012 onwards. In 2016, Alejandro became a Member of Abundance360, a program run by Singularity University. Most recently, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Iluma Alliance in December 2019.
Alejandro Mesa has an extensive education history in various fields. Alejandro obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Food & Resource Economics from the University of Florida in 1997. Alejandro then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2001.

Alejandro also attended the YPO Stanford GSB Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Alejandro also obtained certifications in YPO, Venture Capital Executive Program from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, Nutrition Science from Stanford Center for Health Education, Prof G Certified Strategist from Section4, and Exponential Technologies Executive Program from Singularity University.
