Preston Smith

Preston Smith, JD, FACHE, currently serves as President of Premier Anesthesia since March 2020, overseeing a national anesthesia management and consulting company affiliated with Jackson Healthcare. In addition, Smith holds the rank of Captain as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in the Georgia State Defense Force. Previous roles include President at Tyler & Company from 2016 to 2020, Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at ApolloMD from 2008 to 2016, and State Senator in the Georgia State Senate from 2003 to 2011, where leadership included chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Appropriations Committee. Early legal experience includes positions as Partner at Cox, Byington, Twyman & Johnson, LLP and Associate Attorney at McRae, Smith, Peek, Harman & Monroe, LLP, along with serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Georgia Highlands College. Educational qualifications encompass a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law and a B.B.A. from Baylor University.
