Ben Rees has a diverse work experience in the legal field, with a focus on sports law. Ben is currently the Head of Legal - Regulatory at The Premier League since March 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Northridge Law LLP as a Partner, where they specialized in commercial litigation in the sports sector, handling cases involving sports governing bodies, teams, broadcasters, and other commercial parties. Ben also had experience as a Managing Associate at the same firm. Before joining Northridge Law LLP, Ben worked at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP as a Senior Associate and Charles Russell LLP as an Associate. Ben started their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Charles Russell LLP. Additionally, Ben had a stint as a Secondee at The Football Association and worked as a Paralegal at Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP.
Ben Rees attended the University of Birmingham from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Following this, from 2008 to 2009, they attended the College of Law (London Bloomsbury) and successfully completed the LPC (Commercial) program with distinction.
