Steve Cornett

Principal Software Architect at Premier

Steve Cornett has over three decades of work experience in various roles. Steve started their career at Mentor Systems, Inc. as a Senior Support Analyst, where they provided central support to a national customer base and conducted technical training seminars. Steve then worked at Navix Corporation as a Systems Designer/Developer, where they were involved in substantial development and testing of client-server applications.

Cornett then joined Ashland Petroleum Company as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of data warehousing systems. Steve also developed a decision support system using multidimensional databases.

After that, Cornett worked at Lexmark International, Inc. in multiple roles, including Enterprise Information Architect/Program Manager, Manager of IT Global Services, and BI Architect/Project Manager. In these roles, they led various initiatives such as outsourcing corporate BI/DW functions, consolidating data sources and reporting tools, and establishing a Business Intelligence Center of Competency.

Cornett then served as the Director of Business Intelligence at Time Warner Cable, where they oversaw BI presentation layer development resources and managed data warehousing projects.

Following their time at Time Warner Cable, Cornett joined Lowe's as the Director of Enterprise Information Services. In this role, they grew and optimized the Enterprise Information Services department and delivered a BI strategic framework.

Finally, Cornett joined Premier Inc. as a Principal Software Architect. In this role, they led technical and organizational transformation, developed architecture governance, and managed technology portfolios.

Steve Cornett attended the University of Kentucky from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
