Matthew Powell

Matthew Powell is a Senior CAD Designer at Premtech Ltd, where time is spent leading mechanical design for power transformer projects since January 2022. Previously, Matthew held the position of CAD Designer at Premtech Ltd from July 2019 to November 2024 and worked as an Engineering Technician at Brush Transformers Ltd from January 2016 to July 2019. Engineering Technician responsibilities included leading mechanical design from tender to completion and producing necessary assembly and fabrication drawings. Additionally, a role as a Skilled Fitter involved constructing internal assemblies for power transformers by interpreting engineering drawings and applying mechanical fitting skills. Matthew holds a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough College, obtained between 2012 and 2018.
