Iris Smith

Iris Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles within the education and training industry. Iris most recently worked at Preply as the Learning Progress and Assessment Lead, where they started in February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Curriculum Developer at Preply from June 2021 to February 2023. Iris also has experience as a self-employed Course Development and Design professional from December 2016 to May 2021. In addition, they served as the Director of Studies at Midleton School from June 2018 to October 2020. Earlier in their career, Iris worked as an Assessment Development Manager at EF Education First from March 2014 to May 2016, and as an Academic Manager at EF English First from May 2011 to March 2014. Iris also held positions as an Academic Manager at International House from November 2008 to February 2011 and as a Director of Studies at EF English First from January 2008 to October 2008. Iris began their career as an English and German Language Trainer, working for various companies from September 2000 to February 2007.

Iris Smith completed their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Linguistics, Pedagogy, Teaching English and Spanish as second languages from the University of Vienna in 2006. Recently, in 2021-2022, they attended thePower for an unspecified program without earning a degree or specializing in any field of study.
