Maikel Boot

Maikel Boot, Ph.D., is a highly experienced professional in the fields of medical microbiology and pathogen detection, currently serving as the Work Package Leader for TNO's P3Dx program, focusing on establishing a multidisciplinary ecosystem for pandemic preparedness. Boot has held pivotal roles at PreScouter, Inc. since June 2018 as Technical Director, contributing to the development of Covid-19 diagnostic testing, and previously managing and mentoring teams as a Senior Project Architect and Project Architect. Additional roles have included Scientific Advisor positions at Medstone and Soft Cell Laboratories, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University where research concentrated on tuberculosis pathogen heterogeneity. Boot's academic credentials include a PhD, MSc, and BSc from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, supplemented by advanced English language training from the University of Cambridge.
