Karen Pooley

Karen Pooley is currently working as a Medical Writer at Prescript Communications Ltd since November 2021. Prior to this, Karen held various positions at the University of Cambridge from April 2001 to April 2021, where Karen focused on research related to cancer genetics, early cancer detection, telomere length, breast cancer susceptibility, and cervical cancer genetics. Before their work at the University of Cambridge, Karen was a Research Assistant and Medical Technical Officer at Addenbrooke's NHS Trust from April 1998 to March 2001, specializing in clinical molecular genetic testing. Karen holds a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge and a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford. Karen completed their secondary education at Ripon Grammar School.
