John Brecht

John Brecht is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing educational technology and web-based applications. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at PresenceLearning since October 2015, John specializes in building and maintaining the Therapy Room, a comprehensive application that supports therapist-student interactions through videoconferencing and collaborative activities. Prior to this role, John worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Rosetta Stone, focusing on front-end development for the Advanced English for Business product, and spent over a decade as a Software Engineer at SRI International, where John designed educational technology solutions across various platforms and led interdisciplinary research teams. John holds a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics, both from Michigan State University.
