Vinu Thomas

Vinu Thomas is the Chief Technology Officer at Presidio. Vinu has over ten years of experience in the technology industry and has been with Presidio for over nine years. Vinu is responsible for charting the operations and growth for a 1600 sales and technology organization, growing profitability and revenue by 30%, improving services utilization times by 20% and pivoting the firm from a reseller to a Systems Integrator with focus on cloud (AWS, Azure and GCP), cyber security, enterprise architecture and application modernization solutions.

As a member of the executive team and technology advisor to the board, they have defined the technology, business development, go-to-market and merger and acquisition strategies (10+; $1B incremental revenue). Vinu also guided and managed the 2017 IPO process as CTO, provided vision, narrative, and day to day management of investors and analysts. In 2020, they negotiated the go private process and private equity purchase to secure a significant premium on existing share value.

Hands on technology leadership, crafting client-facing business cases and financial models to support decision making and influence VP and c-suite level leadership. Vinu also led the organizations strategic planning process, coordinating with Product Development team to align engineering, and business priorities. Additionally, they oversaw all aspects of the engineering organization, including technical strategy, technology blueprint, technology stacks, and resource management. Vinu also spearhead the emerging solutions business including AIOPs, Enterprise Analytics, Edge Computing

Vinu Thomas graduated with a BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. Vinu then went on to get their MBA from The Wharton School and is now an alumni of both institutions. Vinu also has a certification from (ISC)² in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
