Gavin Mealing

Gavin Mealing has a diverse work experience starting from 2004. Gavin began as a Crew Boss/Foreman at Hybrid 17 in 2004 and later worked as a Reporter/Videographer at Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Freelance Writer for various companies. In 2007, they transitioned to Mediamatch West Communications as a Chief Writer/Reporter/Page Layout. Gavin then worked as a Production Coordinator at Ocean Productions from 2010 to 2011. Recently, they held roles at PressReader, starting as a Senior Advisor in Content Integration from 2011 to 2017, and currently serving as the Team Lead in the same department since 2017. Gavin'sresponsibilities included building relationships with publishers worldwide, content testing, quality assurance, database management, and collaboration on various projects. Gavin demonstrated proficiency in FTP, cloud-based applications, and virtualization technologies.

Gavin Mealing holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pacific & Asian Studies with a focus on China from the University of Victoria (1996-2001). Gavin also has a Diploma in Journalism from MacEwan University (2005-2007) and an Associate Certificate in Applied Database Administration and Design from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (2017-2021). Additionally, they obtained a CompTIA A+ certification in April 2011. Mealing also studied Mandarin Chinese Language at the Fo Guang Chinese Language Instruction Centre in 2002.
