Simon Gong

Simon Gong has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting field. Simon is currently the Vice President at Pretium Partners, LLC, a role they have held since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked at GRUSS CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LP as a Controller from January 2011 to November 2018.

Before joining GRUSS CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LP, Simon worked at Ernst & Young, LLP as a Senior Auditor from September 2007 to January 2011, where they gained experience in auditing hedge fund clients, including D. E. Shaw. Simon was responsible for all phases of the annual audit, including planning, control tests, substantive tests, analytical analysis, and financial reporting.

Simon also worked as a Senior Auditor at J. H. Cohn, LLP from September 2005 to September 2007. Simon was promoted to the senior level early and acted as a senior for audits of hedge funds, managing companies, and restaurant management companies.

Simon Gong completed their high school education at the High School of Economics and Finance from 1996 to 2000. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance at Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management from 2000 to 2004. Simon then continued their education at the same university and earned a Master of Science degree in Accounting from 2004 to 2005. Before their high school education, Simon also attended I.S 131 for a year from 1995 to 1996.
