Stephen Scherr is the Co-President of Pretium, collaborating with Jonathan Pruzan to oversee the company’s strategic and operational initiatives. With over 30 years of experience in financial services and consumer businesses, Scherr spent nearly three decades at Goldman Sachs, serving as chief financial officer from 2018 to 2021 and holding various leadership roles. They were also the Chairman and CEO of Hertz Corporation from 2022 to 2024. Scherr holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Princeton University, and they actively serve on the boards of the Jewish Museum and the New York Stem Cell Foundation, as well as being a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
