Pretty Plastic
Peter van Assche is an accomplished architect and principal at bureau SLA, where the focus is on responding to societal changes through design and research. With a strong academic presence, Peter serves as a Professor in Architecture and Circular Economy at Academie van Bouwkunst Amsterdam. In addition to co-founding Pretty Plastic, Peter has taken on various supervisory roles in urban development projects in Utrecht. Previous academic roles include a visiting professorship at Cornell University and a position as STO professor at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, supported by a grant from the Sto Foundation. Peter began a career in architecture with extensive experience in project leadership and design, having worked on significant housing developments and notable projects like the Ministerie van VWS. Educationally, Peter holds a Master's degree in Architecture from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and a Master's in Information Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology.
