Jay Parrish

Jay Parrish has a strong background in the biotechnology industry. Jay is currently serving as the Chairman and CEO of Pretzel Therapeutics since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Venture Partner at ARCH Venture Partners from May 2016. In addition, Jay Parrish has held various positions in different companies, including Chairman of the Board at Lilac Therapeutics, a Series A company focused on small molecule solutions for kidney stones, starting from July 2020. Jay has also served as a Strategic Advisor at Orbital Therapeutics since June 2022, and as a Member of the Board of Directors at Interline Therapeutics since May 2021. Furthermore, Jay Parrish co-founded ROME Therapeutics and held the position of Co-Founder and Member of the Board of Directors starting from May 2019. Jay has also worked as a Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. from May 2016 until April 2021. Moreover, they were a Board Observer at Gate Bioscience from June 2021 and a Member of the Board of Directors at Guide Therapeutics from June 2020 until February 2021. Prior to their industry experience, Jay Parrish worked as an Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley from 2012 until January 2020.

Jay Parrish received their education from various institutions. Jay attended Chamberlain Senior High School for an unknown period of time. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Emory University from 1993 to 1996. Jay then went on to the University of South Florida, where they obtained a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from 1996 to 2001. Later, Jay Parrish completed their higher education at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, earning an MBA in Finance between the years 2008 and 2011.
